Jenny Mosley contributes to a “Free Range Children” Conference in Letterkenny

On Saturday 8th May over 450 Early Childhood Educators arrived at the Silver Tassie Confernece Centre in Letterkenny, Donegal, for a unique conference entitled: “Free Range Children: Enabling Active Learning In Early Childhood”. Delegates came from counties all round to enjoy a day of professional development aimed at supporting Government initiatives at a local level.

There were a number of high profile childcare experts who gave talks on very effective methods of encouraging children’s personal, social and emotional well-being in their everyday lives Internationally-recognised Jenny Mosley was one of the morning speakers. �Jenny, who’s inspirational ‘Circle Time Model’ is known all over the world, also treated the participants to a very interactive seminar. Jenny encouraged the participants to become more excited and inspired and to bring ‘learning through fun’ into children’s circles. Comments included “Very inspirational & motivating, awareness of reflection.” “ Brilliant made me feel good about me & the job I do.”

A field of first class Early Years practitioners then provided a selection of high quality workshops focusing on supporting children as active, capable learners, with a voice in their own learning. Jenny Mosley provided her own workshops on Circle Time which were very well-received.� �

The Management and staff then thanked everyone who attended and noted that the high turnout was a great testament to their commitment to working with young children and to the professionalism of those working in the early childhood sector.
