Jenny Mosley Consultancies joins Anti-Bullying Alliance

Fri, Jan 9th 2004

Jenny Mosley Consultancies (JMC)has now joined the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA). Consultant, Barbara Dunn, is the Consultancy’s representative on the Alliance, and she attended her first meeting on 9th September 2004. The meeting was held at the National Children’s Bureau headquarters in London. JMC is very pleased to be involved with this movement, and to share the vision that the Alliance has.

The Anti Bullying Alliance was founded by the NSPCC and the NCB and is led by Gill Frances director of childrens' development at the National Childrens' Bureau. It is intended to represent many bodies to whom children, parents, teachers, agencies working with children, and anyone may turn, to enable them to find a solution to their bullying problem. It is generally recognised that there is no one size fits all solution to any one situation, but by bringing everyone together under one umbrella it helps those with a problem choose a solution to suit their needs. There is currently a website being developed (→ www.ncb.org.uk/aba) and a week to publicise the Alliance called Antibullying week is being planned for the week commencing 22nd November.

The ABA consists of an Advisory Group. The ABA co-ordinator, Vanessa Cooper, has received Jenny Mosley training. Nine area co-ordinators have also been appointed, and they will, amongst other things, be leading anti-bullying activities within their designated areas during AB week.
