Jenny Mosley’s Circle Time and Lunchtime courses for SENJIT at the Institute of Education on 27th and 28th June 2006
Thu, Jan 1st 1970
In July, Jenny Mosley is taking participants through the comprehensive range of strategies linked to the QCT approach in ‘Circle Time in the Primary School’, as well as leading school managers and midday supervisors through inspiring ‘Happier Lunchtimes and Playtimes’ strategies.
The ‘Circle Time in the Primary School’ course is on 27th June 2006, 9.30am – 3.30pm and gives a one-day introduction to the Quality Circle Time methods used in primary schools.
The ‘Happier Lunchtimes and Playtimes’ course is on 28th June 2006 9.30am – 3.30pm and works on the assumption that if a child is unhappy at lunchtime, they are unhappy at school. This day helps the whole school promote a positive lunchtime policy, re-energise the buddy system, improve wet play and dining hall time, support engagement in creative play and traditional games.
The course has been run previously, with a massive uptake. We call it PSHE in the playground! The last group of delegates came up with lots of wet playtime ideas, played many traditional games, debated the problems of Playground Buddies and the Friendship Stop …. the ideas were endless!
SENJIT, at the Institute of Education, University of London runs many different courses for educationalists, and is currently involved in projects with the new teacher’s TV channel.
