Puppets for Peace Day - 29th September 2005
Wed, Aug 10th 2005
The Third Annual Puppets for Peace Day, founded by Puppets for World Change Institute, is set to take place on Thursday 29th September 2005. Peace organisations, libraries, community centres, schools, homes, churches, anti-poverty groups will all be involved in telling stories and folk tales using puppets.
Be part of a circle of peace around the world by participating in this year's 'Puppets for Peace Day'. You are invited to perform a puppet play, no matter how simple or small, promoting peace and friendship, or honouring another culture.
Puppetry can touch and open the heart, it can get a message across and it can move and enchant adults and children alike. It is said that the movement of a butterful in San Fransisco changes the weather in Singapore. This is called the 'butterfly effect'. We can create our own 'butterfly effect' and awaken hearts through many small puppet shows in different parts of the globe on the same day.
