For my research, I would like to know how widespread the use of Quality Circle Time is in the UK?
Q: For my dissertation, I would be grateful if you could give me any information on the amount of schools that use the Circle Time approach in the UK. Can you point me in the right direction please?
Jenny: It is very difficult to estimate the number of schools using the Circle Time approach, some schools use certain parts of our model, like the Golden Rules, or Golden Time or holding Circle Times. Other schools use many different aspects of the model – truly golden schools!
All we can give you is the number of LEAs that we have worked in. I could tell you how many schools we have physically worked in across the country, but it doesn’t give a proper picture. We work with clusters of schools, so although we might be training in one school, we could be working with up to twelve. I hope that the lists below of LEAs is of use for your work.
