How can we improve pupils’ input into celebrating achievement and success in a group with six pupils who are profoundly deaf?

I'd say you need a signer sitting next to the circle facilitator & possibly another supporter near the deaf children in case they need extra help.As the teachger talks, the signer signs so the pace must be slower. As each child speaks they must be signed & space given in case the deaf child(ren) want to ask for clarification.

Pre-teaching of the circle theme will be a huge help, as will pre-teaching the games., as otherwise they may become confused & lose motivation.

The pace of the circle will obviously be slower than usual so the class will have to be trained to go a bit slower & be kind & patient.

So, take it slowly, start small, maybe with the deaf children having some small circles of their own, then bringing in some other pupuils before they come to the whole class, which may be daunting.
