How did circle time begin?
I have written a good chapter on the history of circle time in 'Quality Circle Time in the Primary School'. Even better for you though many of my master class students have written much better histories than I have and you can get these through the Education Library at the School of Education, Bristol University. Ask the librarian for a list of all the M. Ed dissertations, many of them have got distinctions, try Marilyn Tew, Fiona Wood, Jude Libermann, Urmilla Ramnakrishna....these are but a few.
