What should our school do if Golden Time does not seem to be working?

I have been looking at Golden Time in my primary school placement and have found that each class could be divided up into those children that lost Golden Time every week and those children that very rarely lose Golden Time. Do you have any theories on why this might happen and what the school could do to improve the situation?

Jenny:  It sounds like your Golden Time has become Rusty Time!!! This is a phenomenom many schools experience when Golden Time has been running for some time and has become a little ragged around the edges. Because it is really important to me that Golden Time works beautifully, Helen Sonnet and I have just written a new book called “Better Behaviour Through Golden Time”. It has lots of suggestions for sprucing up Golden Time and for making it the best it can be.  You can buy it through our website or through bookshops. If you still have any queries after this I would be happy to answer them!!!

Warm wishes, Jenny
