Course X3132 The Educational Research Project

Abstract

The intention of this project is to examine how, through the use of Circle Time pupils can have the opportunity to:

  • Explore the factors that effect their learning and relationships
  • Take responsibility for their own behaviour
  • Provide solutions for ‘problems’

It will evaluate the effect these practices might have on:

  • Raising self-esteem
  • Creating positive behaviour
  • Raising achievements
  • Reducing referrals for report
  • Preventing exclusions

It will analyse how Circle Time might best fit into the institutional structure or culture of schools.
