Closing the Attainment Gap – using Pupil Equity Funding. This training is designed to help close the gap by:

  • Boosting social and emotional competencies – pupils needing this boost will benefit most.
  • Improving Early Years education – through improved behaviour, social interaction and practical work.
  • Setting up targeted small group work intervention – this is known to have the largest immediate impact on attainment.

This day looks at how teachers can promote Positive Learning Communities in the classroom by encouraging children to take responsibility for their own behaviour and relationships.  An intensely practical day – Jenny will highlight the qualities teachers and children need to develop in order to promote their social, emotional and spiritual intelligence.  Jenny is passionate about circle-time as a powerful forum for change so she will demonstrate a circle-time with a First Level and a Second Level class with delegates observing and discussing on the impact it can have.
