Loving Donegal

I am so lucky… working with Early Years staff always lifts me! Those who work with the very young or very old seem to nurture laughter or warmth – commonsense and fun are a part of their everyday connection.

Everyone at Donegal Childcare Committee gave so much of themselves, I truly felt part of their team.

Not only did they write some lovely words but then sent me a beautiful parcel of gorgeous luxuries that create wonderful Golden Moments. I now can light my candle, warm the lavender oil, rub in the incredible hand cream and just sit back and breathe and remember the fun…

“Everyone at DCCC wishes you well for all your future projects and travels… you have captured the hearts and minds of our little county and the children who will engage with the educators inspired by you are very lucky indeed. Here is a selection of words our attendees have written:

Jenny was inspirational and showed us how to interact with the children through music and puppetry… she is so funny and uplifting… Jenny’s interactive sessions gave us great inspiration and I can’t wait to get back to the children…”

Footnote: I stayed in a hotel and I was absolutely fascinated that between 4 and 6 on the Sunday I was there, people turn up from everywhere – families, older people, single people – and they come down to the big ballroom where a live band is singing country music and they dance so brilliantly. The older ones teach the older ones, everyone asks each other to dance, everyone was happy and cherished! The only one sitting there and not moving was me. I was asked lots of times but honestly each dance has all its own moves and you couldn’t just freestyle in my normal way. I wish I had been taught country dancing – it is very skilled, fast and fun!
