Pupils love Horsing Around in Golden Time in the Yorkshire Dales

We have seen a lovely news article in the Craven Herald and Pioneer (6.10.11) this week. Threshfield Primary School set in the Yorkshire Dales National Park has introduced Jenny Mosley’s “Golden Time” reward scheme for their pupils and have had some brilliant ideas of how to celebrate all the children who have kept the school rules all week. Golden Time happens on Friday afternoons at Threshfield and the pupils are given an hour to carry out fantastic activity ideas. Ideas like helping with younger children, parachute games, gardening, special painting projects, constructions toys are a real treat and many schools use these activities to celebrate their pupils’ behavioural achievements. However, Threshfield have taken activities a step further and invited miniature Shetland ponies to share their Golden Time. The report stated that children really enjoyed grooming and exercising two ponies called Pudding and Lavender. In all, Golden Time is proving to be a huge success!
