What Works Well in Creating Calmer Dining Halls – and the School Food Plan

The School Food Plan is an agreed plan that has the support of the government and diverse organisations. With a website full of inspiration, the School Food Plan is about supporting schools to make positive change and improve the food that they serve. There is a major section on their website entitled “What Works Well” with information on food, the lunchtime experience, ‘making it happen’ and getting everyone involved.

We were really pleased to see Jenny Mosley’s latest publication “How to create calm dining halls” featured in the “What Works Well” section. We think this book, that is now in stock and gathering a lot of momentum, has a huge amount to offer any school that would like to improve the look, feel, behaviour, noise levels and queuing systems and more within their hall to make every lunch time a happier and calmer time and where good manners and healthy eating are at the heart of what makes the dining hall tick and the midday supervisors smile.
